Paris travel was our 2nd stop on our European Tour and from the moment we arrived at La Ville Lumière (the City of Lights) we were in Love with the city. We arrived in Paris at a perfect timing because as soon as we got checked in at our hotel we were able to watch the sun setting beside the Eiffel tower from our hotel room window. Our crude attempt of immortalizing the moment with our camera did not do justice to the amazing scenery that we had witnessed on our Paris travel.
After we had settled in our hotel room we went out to eat, excited to do a food trip around Paris. Before we left the hotel we asked the concierge if he had any suggestions for a restaurant for our Paris travel. His advise was to check the prices of each restaurant instead because all of them were good and only differ in price. He wasn’t exaggerating! Every single restaurant we went to for our Paris travel was amazing. Paris amazed us not just with its beautiful scenery but with its food as well. After our whole European Tour there was nothing that we could compare to the amazing culinary experience that we had on our Paris travel, with exception of the Gelatos in Italy. Unfortunately, we didn’t really keep track of all the restaurants that we went to from our Paris travel.
You may check hotels in London on the search box below:
We can’t remember their names so we can’t find them online either to do a review for them. All we could remember was the great tasting food and experience each restaurant gave us. This is definitely going to be one of our goals this summer when we go back to Paris with our kids; to track down all those restaurants, take pictures and make a review.
Despite the unfavorable weather when we were on our Paris travel, which were mostly cloudy and rain, we still managed to see the city by foot. This is something we would definitely recommend to anyone who is a first time visitor to Paris, (walk around the whole city). There are bike tours as well but when you’re carrying a camera gear and wanting to stop at every interesting sight you find it will be hard to follow a tour. You can rent a bike with out a tour as well, but we preferred to take it slow and walk the whole city during our tour. It was a great way to see the city and enjoy the scenery. We started our tour with the Eiffel Tower and a walk along the Seine River on our first night. It was a stunning sight to see the Eiffel Tower light show on the first night of our Paris travel. Our second day in Paris we spent touring the Louvre and immersing ourselves in the arts and culture that it’s so well-known for. On our third day we did more walking around the city. We saw more of its famous landmarks like the Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame Cathedral, Galleries Lafayette and more.
We will put into detail each day of our tour on our next blog. For now we just wanted to share with you our overall experience in Paris, which truly changed our views about traveling. We now know why Paris is one of the most visited cities in the world and it’s an experience we would like to share with our kids on our next trip and you as well, of course. For more details on our Paris tour keep checking as we update our Wonders In Wanders regularly.
